Singing Like the Sun One Year Ago
My how the time flies... It was just one year ago that Rotary Downs came to NYC for the first time and things haven't seemed the same since. "Sing Like the Sun" has become an integral part of the musical landscape for many new friends of the Downs. Here's an acoustic version from their taping at Studio 360 one year ago:

U23D OMG
I saw a screening of the U23D film tonight. Can I even call it a film? It really was more of a live music experience than... a live music experience! Breathtaking (literally, it took my breath away), mind-blowing (I feel like it was DOING something in my brain), incredibly moving (it is a U2 concert afterall), and words that I don't have to describe. This is the future. Good luck at Sundance!

Kate Nash is my new Lily Allen
Yes! My first new musical love of 2008. Kate Nash... sing it girl! The album is Made of Bricks and it's filled with delicious musical nuggets. She's got the talent and the attitude: "Why you bein' a dickhead for? You're just f'in' up situations." She's got that cute little sassy Brit pop thing but can do Bjorky and Specktory inflections with her voice. Obsession #1 of the year! Woo hoo!! Check it out...
